Sudans Criminal Investigation Dept. hands over stolen cars to owners in Chad

Most of the stolen Sudanese cars were found in Chad, according to the Information Office of the Sudan’s Police Forces, where the INTERPOL office in N’Djamena put hands on 70 cars.

The first batch of vehicles stolen by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has been handed over to its owners in N’Djamena, Chad, by the Sudan’s Police Centeral Criminal Investigation.
Director General of the Sudan’s Police Centeral Criminal Investigation, Major. General Sami al-Sideeq, said his department has exerted, under supervision of the Sudan’s Police Forces, tremendous efforts to register all stolen cars, reactivate online complaints service and submit the collected data to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).
The national INTERPOL office followed up the case with it’s offices in the neighbouring African countries succeeding in finding a number of these cars in South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Cameroon, Niger and Burkina Faso, said Sideeq.

The ongoing two years-war between the SAF and RSF has been characterised with an unprecedented looting of public and private properties including thousands of civilian vehicles.
